EUSTIS — Moderator Tom Saviello stood in for Peter Farnsworth for the Eustis annual Town Meeting, Saturday, March 3 in the Community Building. Saviello said Farnsworth had jokingly instructed him to keep the meeting under the 34 minute duration of last year’s town meeting. “Item 25 (Marijuana Ordinance) was not on the agenda last year so that does not count against me,” Saviello quipped.

The majority of the business-as-usual articles pertained to municipal budgeting and were passed unanimously by the more than two dozen voters present at the meeting. The final article, the Marijuana Ordinance presented and accepted by the planning board, also passed with no discussion or objections. The meeting was adjourned in 17 minutes.

Re-elected to the Eustis Board of Selectmen was Steven St. Jean. Susan Fotter and David Richards were re-elected to the Flagstaff RSU School Board. These candidates were all running unopposed for the three-year terms.

For the Eustis Planning Board, Lori Lemont was elected to a three-year term; and Dwight Gellman and Dawn Whiting were elected for two-year terms. Mark Humphries was elected to a one-year term on the board with two write-in votes.
